Tea for Tinnitus Day

14 June 2017

Clinical Negligence, News

Put the kettle on…

Not long now ’til Tea for Tinnitus Day, here at our Hull office!

With one week to go, our Industrial Disease Team will be holding a Tea for Tinnitus Tea Party on Wednesday 21st June to raise awareness for tinnitus sufferers and funds for The British Tinnitus Association.

Tinnitus can vary a lot between individuals; therefore you can find many different types of tinnitus. Tinnitus varies considerably in intensity and type.

Some people describe tinnitus as high-frequency whistling sounds while others perceive tinnitus as a buzzing noise or a sound similar to butter sizzling in a frying pan. But some experience, instead, a thumping sound in the same rhythm as their heartbeat. This is called pulsatile tinnitus.

The British Tinnitus Association is the only national UK charity solely dedicated to supporting people with tinnitus and as many of our clients suffer with tinnitus, we have decided to support this charity.

We will be baking cakes and other goodies to be enjoyed with a nice cuppa tea!
