The Chamber Bridlington and Yorkshire Coast Business Awards 2014 were held last Friday 10th October at the Bridlington Spa.
The awards evening is organised by Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce member Geof Humphrey in association with the Chamber, and is held every autumn.
The evening was hosted by Viking FM radio presenter Steve Jordan, with live entertainment including the talented female electric string group Silken Strings and guest speaker Gary Verity, who is the CEO of Yorkshire’s official tourism agency, Welcome to Yorkshire.
There were a range of finalists for different business categories before a final winner was announced.
Williamsons Solicitors were the sponsor of the Judges’ Award for Business Innovation 2014, which was given to Matthews Enterprise Trust, an organisation who is applying a different approach to reducing unemployment.

The Business of the Year 2014 award went to Specialist Marine Consultants Ltd, a global leader in providing safety and efficiency to the oil and gas exploration, renewable energy construction and utilities management sectors.
All money raised from the awards evening goes to Cash for Kids, a charity that responds to the needs of children in our communities so they can live life to the full and realise their individual potential. Every penny raised stays in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire and provides help when and where it is needed the most; ensuring that your money is changing the lives of children in your local area.
