Bill Waddington is a Solicitor, head the Defence Advocacy Department, and a director of the company and is well known for his work for companies and individuals. After qualifying in 1980, Bill went on to became head of defence advocacy at another Hull practice until 2000, when he moved with his department to Williamsons. Chambers’ Client’s Guide to the UK Legal Profession notes his work in defending against health and safety prosecutions brought by trading standards and environmental health departments and also cases brought by Customs and Excise. The guide also mentions Bill’s work on white-collar crime, road traffic defences and large and small-scale criminal cases. “Much of the work is recommended by reputation” says Chambers.
