Make a Will Week

Williamsons Solicitors’ Beverley branch is holding a ‘Make a Will Week’ from Tuesday 6^th February 2018 to Friday 9^th February 2018.  During this time we will waive our fees in return for a donation to Beverley Community Lift.

Beverley Community Lift is a much needed service that helps elderly, disabled and isolated members of the community get out and about. Volunteers mainly take people to medical appointments, but also drive minibuses for social outings and weekly food shopping trips.

The suggested minimum donation is between £100 – £200 for a single basic Will and £150 – £300 for couples to make mirror Wills. Please note that more detailed Wills and those including trusts will incur an additional charge as will additional documents, such as Lasting Powers of Attorney.

If you would like to take part in Beverley Community Lift’s Make a Will Week 2018, simply follow these steps:

• Contact Williamsons Solicitors in Beverley and make an initial appointment between Tuesday 6^th February 2018 to Friday 9^th February 2018 for them to take your instructions. Please quote the Beverley Community Lift ‘Make a Will Week’ when you call.
• Attend your appointment and provide your instructions for the Solicitor to draft your Will. At the appointment, your solicitor will give you an envelope to put your donation in. Please make cheques payable to Beverley Community Lift.
• Complete your contact details on the front of the envelope and remember to sign and date the Gift Aid declaration if you are a UK taxpayer, which will allow us to claim an additional 25p on every £1 donated, at no extra cost to you.
• Hand the envelope back to your solicitor, who will pass it to the Beverley Community Lift Office.
