It is with very great sadness that we have to announce that Richard Bancroft, our branch manager at Bridlington, passed away on 11th April after a very short illness.
For those who came across Richard in the property world, I am sure you will remember him as a kind and caring man who always had a positive outlook on life.
Richard was 61, and until 2013 he was a partner in the well-established Bridlington firm of Stuart Smith and Burnett. When three of his former partners retired, Richard and his team joined Williamsons. Richard became branch manager of the Bridlington office where his strong work ethic, his professionalism and his wonderful character shone through to the end.
Richard was due to retire at the end of this year. However this date was hastily brought forward when it became clear that Richard’s health was deteriorating.
He will be sadly missed by all who met and knew him.
Our thoughts are very much with his family, friends and work colleagues.
