Martina has a dual qualification in two completely different systems (Common law and Codified law). Prior to coming to England in 2005 she was a qualified lawyer in the Czech Republic.
After qualifying as a solicitor in 2009 in the UK, she worked in Family department advising clients on divorce and financial settlements, civil partnership disputes and domestic violence.
She has been working in a Private client department for last four years and gained experience in drafting Wills, administrating estates of various complexities, dealing with Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection cases.
She provides consultations to law firms in Prague and advising parties who are either English based but originate from another EU country or are living outside of England & Wales but have a connection in the UK.
Martina completed her training contract with a firm in Pocklington and is pleased to be, once again, working in a market town where she finds her clients to be very friendly.
She is fluent in Czech, English, Slovak and Polish languages.
Martina is married, has two children and has a passion for sport (swimming and jogging particularly).W
