We are investigating an alleged dental negligence claim against Dr Christoper Bird of Dundee Court Dental Centre in Kings Lynn where our client, having attended another dental practice for emergency dental work, was advised that in their opinion the previous dental work on their teeth, was of a poor quality. It is alleged that that some of the crowns had not been fitted correctly and that their teeth were suffering serious decay underneath. It has been necessary for the client to have one tooth extracted and they have paid over £1,000 for restorative dental treatment, with future work likely to cost in the region of £4,000.
Lisa Jackson, from our Clinical Negligence department said of the claim “The client has been very lucky, that by chance, the Dentist who carried out the previous work was not available when they needed the emergency treatment, which enabled another Dentist within the area to flag up his concerns regarding the incorrect dental work that had been carried out. There may be other patients who use this practice who may also be in a similar situation.”
