Bill Waddington wins LAPG Special Award for LALY Awards 2015

Williamsons Director and head of the Criminal Defence department Bill Waddington has won the LAPG (Legal Aid Practitioners Group) Special Award for the LALY (Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year) awards. The award is to recognise Bill’s fantastic work as Chairman of the CLSA (Criminal Law Solicitors’ Association) in the fight to save legal aid. Bill will receive the award at the LALY awards in London on 1st July.

The Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year awards are organised by the Legal Aid Practitioners Group to celebrate the work of lawyers and advisers in an  increasingly challenging field. This year marks the 13th year of the awards. LAPG is the leading membership organisation for practitioners in the publicly-funded sector, and provides a wide range of services and support. It is at the forefront of campaigning to protect vital client services.

A huge congratulations and well done to Bill for winning this award from all at Williamsons Solicitors.
