Williamsons Solicitors has welcomed a new lawyer to its growing family department.

Natalie Tindall, who has specialised in family-related legal issues for more than seven years, joins the Hull-based team of eight solicitors and 12 support staff.

Miss Tindall, who gained a Masters Degree in law in 2009 from the Leeds Metropolitan University, attended South Holderness School and Wilberforce College before studying law at Leeds Metropolitan University and the College of Law, York.

She has Higher Rights of Audience (in any proceedings), which means that she is able to represent clients in any court, including in a High Court trial, the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords. It is a prestigious qualification that has been awarded to fewer than 2,500 solicitors in England and Wales.

Dealing with a varied caseload, including domestic violence, divorce, financial issues, private and public children law and care proceedings, Ms Tindall said that she gains a sense of satisfaction through helping people through difficult times.

“I approach my work in a client-focused manner, and try to be friendly and approachable,” she said.

Sarah Clubley, who heads the family department, said: “Natalie is already proving to be a valued member of our team, and we look forward to a long working relationship.”

The department has been recognised in the 2010 issues of national legal guides, Chambers UK A Clients’ Guide to the Legal Profession and the Legal 500.

Ms Tindall is also a keen swimmer, and in her youth represented Yorkshire and North Eastern Counties.
