Macmillan Coffee Morning at Williamsons

17 September 2015

News

Every year Macmillan invites people to hold coffee mornings, with all donations made on the day sent directly to Macmillan to help them meet their goals of providing medical, emotional, practical and financial support to cancer sufferers. They raised £25m last year alone.

This year, the Industrial Disease Department at Williamsons are holding their own coffee (or cake) morning. Many of our clients have been exposed to dangerous substances during their employment which has resulted in them developing cancer. Macmillan provides them with the vital support that they need from diagnosis to treatment and beyond.

How your money will help

Whilst each and every donation is appreciated, the following amounts make a real difference:

£27 could pay for a Macmillan nurse to spend an hour with someone who has just been told they have cancer.

£61 could pay for a Macmillan adviser to spend a morning with someone who is struggling to make ends meet as a result of living with cancer

£278 could keep a Macmillan support centre stocked for a month with all the things it needs to support families affected by cancer.

When and Where

Our coffee, or rather cake morning will be held in the front reception room in our Hull office from 9am until midday on Wednesday 23rd September.
