Jane Cousins and the Probate team have been helping the Marie Curie charity. Marie Curie is a charity which supports people living with a terminal illness and their families. They offer expert care and guidance to make sure they get the best of the time they have left. The Marie Curie nurses work night and day providing hands on care and crucial emotional support.
Legacy income is the single largest source of voluntary income for Marie Curie and helps them to care for an extra 10,000 patients each year. On the 18th May 2016, the Williamsons Probate team held a presentation to 40 attendees at the Gift for the Future event at Burton Agnes Hall in Driffield. The presentation highlighted the importance of having a Will and the possibilities of donating to charities, such as Marie Curie, through legacy income.
It was a fantastic turn out with over half of the guests wishing to generously donate to the charity. Everyone also received our new Williamsons bag for life, pen and key ring! Well done and thank you to the Probate team!
