Pentathelete Josh Hood

This week Williamsons have provided young Pentathlete Josh Hood a cheque towards an overseas event this year. Whilst only a small contribution on Josh’s path to the Youth Olympic qualifiers and the European qualifiers we hope that it helps him achieve what he is capable of.

A modern pentathlon is five disciplines: Swimming, Running, Shooting, Fencing and Riding. With such a variety Josh is required to spend much of his time training and is a member of various local sports clubs. So far in 2017 Josh is ranked 4th in the U19’s and has been selected four times, both in competition and training camps, to both the U17 and U19 age groups.

Josh is nearly 16 years old and as a local of Hull we are very happy to help him and wish him and his lovely family lots of medals in the future!

The photo below shows one of our Directors, Brian Cook, present the cheque to Josh.
