Team Williamsons take on the Come Walkies Chalkland Challenge Walk

9 January 2013

News, Our Community

On September, 8 the Williamsons team took part in the ‘Come Walkies Chalkland Challenge Walk’ and raised a whopping £2,626.50 to help provide trained Hearing Dogs for the deaf.

Our staff really picked up the pace and walked through the beautiful countryside of the mid Yorkshire Wolds passing through the pretty villages of great Givendale, Bishop Wilton, Thixendale and Millington.

This worthwhile charity trains dogs to help deaf people in their everyday lives so they are able to alert their owner to things such as the kettle boiling or when the door bell rings. Hearing dogs really do make such a positive difference to a deaf persons life and we would like to thank our staff for taking part in this fundraising event.
