Williamsons Solicitors in the Sunday Times

In an article published in The Sunday Times on 28th July 2013, Williamsons’ solicitor Tim Slow commented upon the negligence shown in maternity wards by the NHS.

In the article, with the headline ‘If only he’d been born in the daytime’, Mr Slow speaks on behalf of the family of a newborn child that died only days after birth following inadequate care in the antenatal ward of the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

Mr Slow’s representation of the Wrightson family follows an ongoing issue regarding understaffing in NHS maternity and antenatal wards around Great Britain. Commenting upon his case and the wider problem, Mr Slow said, “The tragedy that befell Candice and her partner Timothy, with the loss of their eagerly awaited first-born, is indicative of the over-crowding and underfunding of maternity units.”
