Action Against Mesothelioma Day 2022

Friday the 1 July 2022 marks Action Against Mesothelioma Day. This is a national event to raise awareness of asbestos and mesothelioma to raise awareness of the asbestos related cancer.

Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that mainly develops in the lining of the lungs and is usually linked to asbestos exposure. Unfortunately, it is rarely possible to cure mesothelioma although treatment can help control the symptoms. It can take a long time to develop, normally 30 to 40 years after exposure.

If you have mesothelioma, you may be able to make a claim for a lump sum payment from the Government and an Industrial Injuries Benefit. You may also be able to make a claim for compensation.

Mesothelioma can have a devastating effect not only on the individual but also the families. Whilst no money can be placed on a life, the compensation awarded can provide financial peace of mind for the individual and the families care.

If you want advice on the benefits you can claim or about pursuing a claim for compensation then please contact our office on 01482 323697.
