Lockdown Rules for Separated Parents

This is the third lockdown and children who live between their parents in two separate households can continue to see their mum and dad.

There are millions of children in the UK with separated or divorced parents.  Children are not governed by the strict ‘stay at home’ rules but can pass freely between their parents’ homes meaning all contact arrangements continue as they have during the first and second lockdown.

Where court orders are in place both parents have to comply with them throughout lockdown.

It is important to maintain bonds and relationships that exist between a child and their parents.

If you have any legal concerns in seeing your children then please contact our Family & Childcare experts on 01482 323697 for advice.
