Wayne is an experienced Solicitor & Head of Clinical Negligence here at Williamsons Solicitors. He has more than 10 years’ experience acting for victims of medical accidents. Wayne & his team are determined to get the best result possible for each individual client.

Wayne has been involved in securing compensation for a vast number of clients with awards ranging from a few thousand pounds to multimillion pounds. He gains satisfaction, not for the amount of compensation obtained, but the sense of helping people in need.  He goes over and above what is required to get the answers his clients truly deserve.

Wayne is regularly instructed by families to assist with the inquest procedure when death involves medical treatment and he also helps his clients with the complaints procedure.

He was formally on AvMA’s panel of specialist clinical negligence lawyers, the charity promoting action against medical accidents.

Outside work, Wayne enjoys watching sports and generally socialising with friends. He enjoys local live music having run his own bar for 6 years and he was a function DJ for 14 years within the Hull area.

Wayne is a local man who was educated in Bransholme. He also attained his qualifications at Hull College of Further Education and at the University of Hull.

Nick is a well-regarded and experienced solicitor who is a Consultant in the Williamsons Clinical Negligence department.

Throughout his career he has investigated hundreds of different clinical negligence claims and achieved individual settlements ranging from a few thousand pounds to over £5 million.  No matter how unusual the circumstances of your injury, it is likely that he has dealt with something similar before.

Nick understands that there are a number of different reasons why those who have suffered avoidable harm following their medical treatment decide to approach a solicitor; including to find out what went wrong, prevent similar mistakes occurring in the future and to obtain a full apology.

He is very down to earth and clients find him easy to speak with, which helps explain why he is often recommended to former client’s family & friends.  Nick is a member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel, which required a rigorous independent assessment as to the quality of his work.

Nick is also a governor of Frederick Holmes School, Inglemire Lane in Hull. Frederick Holmes School is an all age community special school for pupils with severe physical disabilities and those with profound and multiple needs. This gives Nick an unique opportunity to see first-hand the challenges that the pupils and their families overcome on a daily basis.

Outside of work Nick supports Norwich City FC and is a weekend runner; the dream is to complete a marathon one day, but he’d need to increase his training substantially!

Cameron qualified as a Solicitor in 2023. He began studying law in his home town of Doncaster and completed his undergraduate degree in Law at the University of Hull. Cameron completed his LPC and Masters Degree at the University of Law in Leeds.

Cameron’s legal experience has been dedicated to personal injury and clinical negligence matters and has worked for large national firms as well as local firms in East Yorkshire. Cameron has supported both Claimants and Defendants in personal injury and clinical negligence matters giving him a well-rounded skillset to help his clients. Cameron finds building relationships with his clients to be the most rewarding part of the job and currently works in the firm’s Hull branch.

Outside work, Cameron enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with his partner and daughter.

Sarah has worked in law since 2009, gaining experience in personal injury, civil litigation and employment law before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2015 and specialising in clinical negligence. Sarah is passionate about helping injured individuals and their families and has developed a specialism in dealing with inquests and claims involving fatalities.

Sarah is committed to building a relationship of trust and confidence with clients and strives to guide all of her clients through the process of bringing a claim in the most efficient manner, ensuring that they feel supported and at ease at all times. Sarah understands that it is more than just a claim to those who have suffered negligence in the hands of a medical professional and sees rehabilitation and future support for injured individuals and their loved ones to be just as important as compensation.

Outside of work, Sarah is a keen swimmer and enjoys boxing and playing badminton.

Sarah is a Solicitor in the Clinical Negligence department at Williamsons Solicitors.

With a number of years experience working in the area of industrial disease exclusively for Claimants, Sarah has dealt with a variety of cases including noise induced hearing loss, industrial dermatitis, mesothelioma, asbestosis and other respiratory disease, repetitive strain injuries, hand arm vibration syndrome and upper body work related injuries; to name a few.

Sarah prides herself on providing excellent specialist advice and guidance to those who have been exposed to dangerous conditions during the course of their current or previous employment.

Sarah is approachable, friendly and keeps clients updated throughout the course of their claim with the goal of achieving the best outcome for them.

Jill joined Williamsons in 2004 as part of the Personal Injury Department dealing with claims including accidents at work, trip and slip claims and road traffic accidents.

In 2012 Jill moved to our Industrial Disease Department to deal with specialist and complex areas of disease claims including Mesothelioma, Asbestos Related Diseases, Noise Induced Hearing Loss, and Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome. In 2017, Jill moved to our busy Clinical Negligence team and alongside Clinical Negligence claims has continued to deal with Mesothelioma and Asbestos Related Disease claims.

Jill is an experienced member of the team and deals with many complex litigated cases, including fatal illnesses/injuries. Jill deals with the claims comprehensively and professionally and ensures her clients are kept fully informed of the progress of their claim. Jill prides herself in providing a friendly and efficient service; ensuring the best outcome for her clients.

In her free time, Jill enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending the gym, and travelling both in the UK and abroad.

Lisa started at Williamsons in 2010 in the Conveyancing Department as a Legal Secretary. After 3 years with the Conveyancing Department, Lisa moved to the Clinical Negligence Department as a Legal Secretary.

In 2016, Lisa progressed to the role of Paralegal within the department, due to the interest she has shown within this area of Law. Lisa assists Solicitors with claims, conducting investigations in cases. Lisa really enjoys speaking with clients and prides herself on her friendly approachable manner.

She enjoys her role in the team, which she finds interesting and challenging.

In her spare time Lisa loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Katy started at Williamsons in 2002 as a Legal Secretary in the Clinical Negligence Department. In March 2017, Katy progressed from the role of a Legal Secretary, to a Paralegal, due to the interest and experience she has shown within this area of Law. Katy initially worked alongside Simon Ramshaw and Sarah Jackson. 

Katy has now moved to work alongside Wayne Walker, and assists in all parts of the investigations into client’s clinical negligence claims.

Katy understands that every claim is different and there are many reasons why people may find themselves having to speak to a Clinical Negligence Solicitor, but Katy prides herself on her friendly and professional manner and aims to listen to every client with a sympathetic ear. Katy thinks it is important to build a relationship with the client, to enable trust and confidence.

Outside of work, Katy enjoys spending time with her family and two daughters, as well as socialising with her friends.

Abigail first joined Williamsons in 2012 as a Secretary in the Industrial Disease Department.

After 5 years within the Industrial Disease Department, Abigail transferred to the Clinical Negligence Department as a Paralegal in 2017. As of 2023, Abigail is now a Litigation Executive in the Clinical Negligence Department.

Abigail works alongside Nick Gray, Sarah Webster and Hannah Cook. Abigail has a welcoming manner to all new clients offering advice regarding their clinical negligence enquiries, together with assisting throughout client’s claims with any issues along the way.

In Abigail’s spare time, she has a keen interest in music and enjoys travelling to festivals in the UK and abroad. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Holly assists solicitors with claims, investigations, and correspondence.

She works mainly alongside Sarah Jackson, Jill Robinson and Lisa Jackson. Holly has three years previous experience working at another local law firm in Hull, as a fee earner assisting clients on all areas of civil litigation, including Personal Injury; Clinical Negligence; Landlord and Tenant disputes and Consumer Rights Disputes.

In Holly’s spare time, she has a keen interest in hiking within different areas of the UK. She enjoys spending time in Norfolk on the Norfolk broads with her partner and family.

Hannah joined Williamsons in 1997 as an office junior and has spent the more than 25 years pursuing claims for compensation for clients.  

Hannah assists Solicitors with a variety of clinical negligence and personal injury matters, from initial contact with potential clients, to settlement.  Hannah offers a supporting and understanding approach and enjoys speaking to clients and assisting them throughout their claims.  

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys watching her son captain his Sunday league football team and walking her Romanian rescue dog.

Helen has over 25+ years’ experience in compensation, previously working in Personal Injury pursuing claims to settlement.  More recently for the past 3 years Helen joined Clinical Negligence within a highly experienced team working with all types of claims. 

With over 25 years’ experience in helping clients with their claims, Helen understands that some claims are not just about being compensated financially where there are ongoing issues requiring treatment and rehabilitation.  Helen takes care to be patient and appreciates that the claims process can be emotional at times however she prides herself on being patient and having a sympathetic ear to put the client at ease. 

Helen enjoys a busy family life, seeing family and friends and spending time along the East Coast for the best fish and chips in Yorkshire!

Megan first joined Williamsons in 2017 as a General Office Assistant, thereafter, moving to be a floating secretary covering work in all departments.

After 3 years, Megan covered leave in the Clinical Negligence Department where she found her enjoyment of the work. In October 2020, Megan became a Paralegal within the Clinical Negligence Department and continues to work as a Paralegal. 

Megan works alongside Sarah Jackson, Jill Robinson, Lisa Jackson, Lauren Foster and Helen Aistrop. Megan has a welcoming manner to all new clients offering advice regarding their clinical negligence enquiries, together with assisting throughout client’s claims with any issues along the way.

In Megan’s spare time, she has a keen interest in reading and enjoys travelling in the UK and abroad. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Lauren originates from Hull, and graduated from the University of Hull in 2022, with a 2:1 LLB Law degree. She also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice from the University of Law and hopes to qualify as a solicitor in the future.

Lauren recently joined Williamsons in March 2024 as a Clinical Negligence Paralegal, working under Sarah Jackson. She assists in all parts of the investigations into a client’s clinical negligence claims and is developing a specific interest in cases involving fatalities, including where there is an inquest.

Prior to Williamsons, Lauren worked as a family court usher. She liaised with solicitors, counsel and judges, organising the court room for both public and private law matters.

In her spare time, Lauren likes spending time with her cat, watching documentaries, going to the gym, and drinking good coffee.

Michelle started working in the legal sector from leaving school and worked to become a legal cashier. Michelle then went on to set up the accounts system and put in place all accounts procedures for a new local solicitor’s firm. Here she was the only accounts member and dealt with the day-to-day accounts for both the Clients and the Business.

Michelle began work for Williamsons Solicitors in 2022 as a legal cashier. In 2024, Michelle started her position in the Clinical Negligence department as a Costs & Quantum Paralegal and is looking forward to a new challenge in her career. Her role involves preparing cost budgets, billing and calculating claims for damages, compensation and maintenance for our Clients. 

In her spare time Michelle enjoys days out with her daughters, reading, going to the theatre and attending music concerts.

Amy started off at Williamsons as an office junior and made her way up to Legal Secretary within the Personal Injury Department.

With over 14 years of experience in assisting solicitors with the everyday running of personal injury cases, Amy prides herself on her approachable demeanour and ensures clients are put at ease. 

Outside of work, Amy enjoys a very busy family life from travelling to playing football with her children or relaxing in the garden with a good book.

Linda joined Williamsons in 2004 as a Conveyancing legal secretary. Following her return from maternity leave, Linda came back to work as a floating secretary where she helped in all departments.  

Linda wanted a new challenge and because she had enjoyed working in the Clinical Negligence department previously, she became a Paralegal in this department where she now works alongside Wayne Walker and Katy Evans, assisting with client’s clinical negligence claims.

Linda prides herself on being friendly, approachable and sympathetic.

Outside of work, Linda loves to travel and is an avid Hull KR supporter.  On a weekend, she also likes to go walking with friends on the North Yorkshire Moors and likes to watch her son play rugby for a local Hull team.
