Conveyancing

Jane is a Director and Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and has worked for us since 2000.

She specialises in both residential conveyancing (including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, leasehold matters, new builds and transfers of equity) and Wills and Probate (including Wills (care home and inheritance tax planning), putting houses into Trust, Personal Injury Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters and Administration of Estates).

Jane enjoys meeting new clients and welcoming back existing clients.  She always acts in the best interests of her clients and deals with matters in a speedy, efficient and cost effective manner. Jane regularly receives positive feedback for her understanding approach and quality service. Her aim is to make what can be a difficult process as simple and stress-free as possible.

In addition, Jane enjoys organising charitable events on behalf of local charities. She encourages employees, family and friends to join her in activities such as 30 mile walks across the Yorkshire Wolds.

Outside of Williamsons, Jane enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. She enjoys keeping fit, as well as trips to the theatre.  A lot of her spare time is spent decorating and gardening.

Amanda Hewson is a Director, Licensed Conveyancer and Head of Conveyancing. She joined Williamsons Solicitors in 2004 initially working in the Residential Conveyancing Department.

Over the years, Amanda has worked in various departments in the firm including the Accounts Department gaining ample knowledge and experience in these areas.

Amanda now works in all aspects of conveyancing, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, plot sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.

Being experienced in working in a busy environment, Amanda is able to deal with transactions quickly and efficiently but ensuring a high quality of service is provided to our clients at all times.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Theresa has extensive legal knowledge and experience in all aspects of Residential Property including unregistered and registered land, freehold and leasehold titles, re-mortgages and transfer of equity.

She is known for her keen eye to details and her ability to explain complex matters in a clear and straightforward manner. Her thorough and clear headed approach ensures matter run as smoothly as possible.

When Theresa is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and walking the dog.

Steve Davidson  has more than 30 years’ experience as a solicitor and has built up a large and loyal following.

Steve specialises in property transactions, both residential and commercial, involving sales, purchase, leasing and mortgages. He also specialises in employment matters, including drafting employment and associated contracts, settlement agreements and dispute resolution, including representation at employment tribunals. Steve also has a strong background in civil dispute resolution in contractual matters. His extensive client base ranges from private clients, local businesses and farmers to national holiday park operators.

Outside work, Steve is a past chairman of Beverley Round Table and is now a regular at Beverley 41 Club. He is also a past president of the group and an active member of the club’s cycling group – he can usually be spotted towards the rear of the peloton.

He is also a keen skier and, after hanging up his boots, Steve now follows football, rugby league and cricket. Family man Steve is also a dab hand in the kitchen and enjoys cooking.

A former pupil of Beverley Grammar School, the father of two now has links with Beverley High School, where he is a governor.

Jenny is a Licensed Conveyancer within the Residential Conveyancing Department.  She joined Williamsons in 2002 as a secretary within the department. With hard work and in house training Jenny progressed to fee earner level in 2006.

Jenny specialises in residential conveyancing dealing with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity. Jenny deals with all her transactions as quickly and efficiently as possible and in an organised manner.  She aims to give her clients a friendly stress free service.

Outside of Williamsons, Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband, young twin boys and family, as well as socialising with her friends.

Emma qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2022 and works in our residential conveyancing department.

Emma joined Williamsons in 2007 and has worked in various departments before joining the conveyancing team.

Emma specialises in residential conveyancing and aims to make the conveyancing process as stress free as possible and prides herself on her friendly, approachable manner and is able to convey matters to clients in a clear and concise way without the need for legal jargon.

In her free time Emma enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends.  Emma is a keen runner and often takes part in running events raising money for charity.

Beth is a Licensed Conveyancer within the Residential Conveyancing Department.  She joined Williamsons in 2012 as a general office assistant in the Bridlington Office and progressed to a secretary within the Conveyancing Department in 2014.

Beth specialises in residential conveyancing and deals with all transactions as quickly as possible and aims to make the conveyancing process as simple as possible for clients.

Outside of Williamsons, Beth enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with her friends.

Richard is a Licensed Conveyancer within the Residential Conveyancing Department in our Driffield Office.

Richard specialises in freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.

Richard strives to provide a bespoke, quality conveyancing service to his clients and aims to make the process as stress free as possible.

Away from the office Richard enjoys travelling and running

Nigel is an experienced Conveyancer dealing with residential sales, purchasers and mortgages and is based in Bridlington.

He joined Williamsons in 2021 having previously worked for a Scarborough law firm for many years.

He works conscientiously and accurately to conclude property matters as quickly as possible and always try’s to meet clients’ requirements and expectations.

Outside of work Nigel’s main interests are going to watch his football team and spending time with family.

Samantha qualified as a solicitor in 2021 after completing her training contract with Williamsons. She studied Law at both Lincoln and Hull University. She studied and completed her Legal Practice Course at BPP Law Leeds in 2020.

Samantha joined Williamsons in 2016 as cover for maternity leave within the Probate department and progressed to a Conveyancing secretary thereafter.

Samantha specialises in both residential Conveyancing and also Commercial Property. She covers a full range of commercial property transactions to include purchase and disposal work in respect of both vacant and tenanted commercial properties and also commercial landlord and tenant work.

Samantha prides herself on her friendly and approachable manner and aims to make what is a worrying time for clients as stress-free as possible.

Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her friends and family, walking the dogs, watching live music and travelling.
