Today we celebrate the incredible legacy of Hull’s very own Jean Bishop, the beloved “Bee Lady”, with the launch of Bee Lady Day, now an annual event to be held every May 13th (Jean’s birthday).

Over 30 years, Jean raised nearly £125,000 for @ageukhull and we’re buzzing to keep her spirit alive by helping raise another £100,000 to support older people in our community.

This year, Williamsons are proud to support the cause with a donation to sponsor a special day out for older individuals who’ve done something amazing, the prize – a day trip on the Bee Lady Train and afternoon tea Our very own Rebecca Bisby, the Head of our Private Client department, was honoured to sit on the selection panel to select the lucky individuals who will be enjoying their trip today. The Private Client Departments across our branches in Hull, Driffield and Bridlington are also hosting bake sales to add some extra sweetness to the occasion with £150 so far raised today from the team (and counting)!
