Williamsons marked a major milestone on Friday as the company celebrated its very first Employee Ownership Day (EO Day) since becoming an employee owned business on 1 February 2025.

To commemorate the occasion, staff were treated to a complimentary lunch provided by local business Relish, followed by after work drinks at O’Leary’s, giving employees an opportunity to come together and celebrate their shared success.

EO Day is a national event that recognises and promotes the benefits of employee ownership across the UK. For Williamsons, it was a chance to reflect on the positive impact of the transition to employee ownership and to acknowledge the contribution of every team member.

The company extended its thanks to everyone who took part in the celebrations and looks forward to continuing its journey as part of the growing community of employee owned businesses.
